We are started to get organised for next year with the Away Day being booked on the River Trent at Rolleston – pegs 1 to 20 on Sunday 3rd September.
If is that time of year again. Please could anyone holding trophies return them to the Secretary so that they can be prepared for the Presentation Evening.
We have been informed that Bob died on Saturday evening (9 July) after a short illness. A keen match angler and committeeman Bob’s contribution to the club and support for his fellow anglers was invaluable. We would like to send our condolences to Bob’s family.
Hi, just to let you know the collection plate from dads funeral raised a fabulous £416.40 so which is to be split between the angling club & the nature reserve. The money is with Rowleys atm who will be sending the cheques a week on Monday. Massive thanks to everyone who came & donated, very much appreciated.

We have been advised that Don Rickell, Vice President of the angling club, died on Sunday 13 March. Having been involved with the angling club for over 60 years and a member of the Nature Reserve Management Committee, Don’s knowledge and support will be sadly missed and we send our condolences to his family.
We are sorry to inform members that Derick died on Thursday 10 March after a short illness. A keen supporter of our Junior Angling Scheme and a regular helper at Nature Reserve Open Days, Derick’s wit and patience, when teaching others, will be sorely missed and we would like to offer our condolences to his family.
We are very sorry to have to bring you the sad news that George died on Sunday 7 February. His death came after a long and brave fight against illness.
George was a life member of New Earswick Angling Club and a long serving member of the Nature Reserve Management Committee and, until his ill-health, regularly assisted with the Junior Angling Club.
